My son has had his Music Minor taster session at his preschool and he can not wait to start his sessions. Rachel is fantastic with the children, extremely knowledgeable and totally engaging. Music Minors adds another level of soft education into preschool that encourages children’s creativity, listening and development, all whilst having great fun!! I highly recommend music Minors to both nursery’s and parents alike!!

This term Music Minors has come to visit. Rachel starts the morning off with a warm up song using musical instruments interacting with both staff and children before introducing todays activity- todays was singing 5 speckled frogs using sensory blankets.
She is clear in her instructions and gives praise to all the children boosting their confidence. She finishes the lesson with a warm down song naming all the children's names. She carries on the music lesson by leaving work for the children to do e.g this week Rachel left work sheets of wooden musical instruments for children to colour in. We look forward to the next few weeks!

The children are so excited for Music Minor class, Rachel built a rapport really quickly with them and they all engage so well in the range of stimulating activities she provides. They are improving the listening and attention skills as well as learning new skills in music making, rhythms and it's even supporting their early reading skills!
Tortoises Day Nursery - Telford
Rachel Dunn (Music Minors) is friendly, inviting and encouraging to all the children in her
group. Rachel speaks confidently and uses praise effectively that children respond to.
Children are eager to answer questions and have a go at the activities within the session.
Rachel uses time effectively in particular ‘warning up’ with a fun sing along action song
which the children loved. Rachel is flexible and adapts the session to meet the needs of the
group and throughout encourages the 7 areas of learning such as maths language, speech
sounds and collaborative work.
After only 1 week the children asked for a song ‘I hear thunder’ with a sensory blanket which
I am sure will become an all-time favourite.
